The following are the recommended readings for Easter Sunday in the Revised Common Lectionary.

SUNDAY         Year A

ACTS              Acts 10:34–43, Peter: they killed Jesus, but God raised him; or Jeremiah

31:1–6,  the return   of the exile.

PSALM           Psalm 118:1–2, 14–24

EPISTLE        Colossians 3:1–4, you are raised to life with Christ.

GOSPEL        John 20:1–8 or Matthew 28:1–10, Mary and the empty tomb.

SUNDAY        Year B

ACTS             Acts 10:34–43 (above) or Isaiah 25:6–9, the mountain of the Lord.

EPISTLE        1 Corinthians 15:1–11, the resurrection of Christ and his appearances.

GOSPEL        John 20:1–18 or Mark 16:1–8

SUNDAY        Year C

ACTS             Acts 10:34–43, (above) or Isaiah 65:17–25, the new creation.

EPISTLE        1 Corinthians 15:19–26, Christ’s resurrection and ours.

GOSPEL        John 20:1–18 or Luke 24:1–12

If the Old Testament Lesson is chosen, the reading from Acts 10 may be substituted for the Epistle reading.
