  • Thank you so much! This is exactly where we are as a “tribe”. Love the culture that the tribe brings. How we show honor (or have lack of honer) with each other will definitely be expressed to the worship community, whether we want to show it or not. Thanks again for this teaching.

  • Thank you. This is a great word. Never tear down the Kingdom of God. We are His Children, we should always be an encourager to one another. One thing I dislike is one team member speaking bad to another team member, just to make themselves look good or feel empowered. It rips apart the kingdom […]

  • Worship is about living everyday in the presence of God. Sometimes worship teams worry more on the look and sound, when I feel relationships are much more valuable. How you treat each other is all about the Kingdom. We should always value relationships. It is a big stone….. at least in my opinion.

  • I agree. It is so eloquently said.

  • @pattiball hey, another place to connect.

For years, I took a back seat, learning, waiting and watching. Waiting to be asked. I tried to find contentment in what ever place I found myself in. I decided to bring my happiness wherever I went. I stopped asking why questions. Those are not for us to figure out. Now when finding myself in these situations, I have learned…..It is not about…[Read more]

    • Thanks for the reply, Rachel. It’s good advice…

I want to do what God wants. Truly. But I’m very discouraged and tired of the battle that is going on in my heart.

I feel like a puzzle has been laid out before me — and it’s very hard for me to discern which piece goes where. If I didn’t think that God MIGHT want to use me, I’d gladly sit…[Read more]

Hi Linda, I hope this helps. If you feel God wants to use you, maybe it is time to step forward, but with an attitude of service. Don’t make an issue out of “How come nobody ever asks me?’ Just let it be known that you feel it is time for you to move forward, and that you would like to serve as a worship leader. Yes, there is a time to be silent…[Read more]

        • Thanks, Sunny. I think your approach is a good one. And I HAVE asked — but it seems that I don’t fit the bill…

I am still on my church’s “Worship Committee” and I will still speak out, give ideas and find gratification in seeing the ideas come to fruition through others. Jesus said that if we do our works for the admiration of people, that…[Read more]

Ego gets in the way more than admitted. Why? Maybe because worship leaders are so visible. In anything we do, there is self gratification but in the worship community, we must decrease as He increases. (thru pain and ‘exposed weakness’. My flesh is not happy in times of being “at the end of my rope”, […]

  • Above all, I love relationships. We are all about being in relationship with each other.

  • Just trying to figure how this all works. I know I am slow but….lol

  • Nothing like rehearsing, getting everyone to the worship center on a Saturday morning, start recording and set the fire alarm off with the fog machines! lol I guess we were so good we were smoking hot! 2 fire trucks showed up to let us know how smoking. Good news, one of the fire guys is joining the church now! lol
